Young birders

NOTE:  As I was contemplating the Northwest People website I tried to remember the first time I approached a stranger and asked for a photograph.  I believe this delightful trio was it.

While birding in south Puget Sound,  I saw this family walking the trail ahead of me. My first impression was that they each had their own binoculars. Serious birders, they!   The energetic  little girl on the left was practically dancing along the trail after the others, eyes on the ground, arms outstretched, and lightly dangling her binoculars at arm’s length. I WISH I had snapped a photo then! They veered off the trail to this bench where I introduced myself.   They were nice enough to let me take this picture.
