End of the work day

The work day was done when I found this man in his crisp white shirt waiting for his ride home to Seattle.  I hesitated interrupting his music-listening when I introduced myself, but I’d like to think he thought it was okay after we struck up a quick and pleasant conversation.  We discovered we had both worked in IT environments and we shared some laughs regarding text messaging habits — both good and bad.  One memorable thing I took away from our chat was his response to my assumption that he was relieved the work day was over:  “You gotta like your job,” he said.
