WA-List » About

WA-List is the place for lists about anything and everything Washington State — from the commonplace to the rare, the fascinating to the boring, the surprising to the nutty  Our goal is to provide interesting articles and accurate lists relating to the state of Washington on every imaginable topic: people, places, buildings, history, sports, geology, movies, roads, business, music, crime, place names, weather, art, festivals, and — wait a sec! — This is starting to become a list itself.

Whether any particular list is ranked or random, it has been researched, has something to do with the Evergreen State, and kicks off with a few words for context. WA-List’s companion Facebook page posts additional facts, milestones, and lists from media sources.

Washington Events Calendar lists many hundreds of festivals, fairs, concerts, stage performances, sports, races,  and other significant days and events across the state of Washington. The list can be filtered by county or topic.

Northwest People is the photographic companion site to WA-List. It displays portraits of people met along the way.

The Washington List Guy is Steve Campion, a Washington native who has wandered all 39 counties of this wonderful state collecting far too many factoids and photos than he knows what to do with.  He’s long lived, loved, and researched the Northwest.  This website is his way of sharing what he’s found — and collaborating with institutions and subject experts to learn and list even more.

He graduated from the University of Puget Sound, worked in a state museum and a county library, gave dozens of Northwest history talks and owns an extensive collection of Washington books.  He lives in Pew-al-up.
