A WA-List Video Quiz

Published by Steve Campion. Category: Quiz

Have you been keeping up with our Location Spotlight?  It’s the feature with a small map on the left side of the WA-List home page, just below the green mid-page break and alongside the virtual sports standings.  Go look.  We’ll wait.

Every few days we pick a different place in Washington to tout with a little fact.  Based on those little snippets, we put together a short video quiz.  A test?!  No worries.  It’s only a five question quiz and you can choose your own adventure.

SCORING: The questions are listed below. Give yourself 2 points for each question you can answer outright — no help, no multiple choice.  If that seems unlikely, start the short video accompanying each question.  It will give you four options — turning the question into multiple choice!  That discounts your score, though.  Score 1 point for each correct multiple choice answer.

If you want to think about your answer, make sure you pause the video right after the options are given.  Our answer is on the video immediately following the options.

  • 0 points = Out of stater.
  • 1 to 2 points = Recent transplant to Washington.
  • 4 to 6 points = Impressive. You could lead tours.
  • 7 to 8 points = Native Washingtonian.
  • 9 to 10 points = Sasquatch would be proud.

QUESTION 1:
The current governor of Oregon was born in Washington. Which town?

QUESTION 2:
Which town’s high school has a main road running under or through the building?

QUESTION 3:
What town is the home of Costco Wholesale, the largest public company headquartered in Washington?

QUESTION 4:
Which Washington town was founded by a pharmacist named Charlie Brown?

Question 5:
Washington is known for its trees.  Where would you find the remains of a several million years old petrified forest?

How’d you do?  Would you like to see more quizzes on WA-List?

I got 0 out of 5; not so good. At least now, I’m a little bit smarter! 🙂
